Frequently Asked Questions
Direct answers on how Exordiom works: who employs your hire, how security and IP are handled, how people are vetted, what roles we staff, and what it costs. For security review detail, see the Trust and Security page.
Employment and structure
Who employs my offshore hire?
Exordiom does, through an Employer of Record arrangement in the worker's country. We hold the employment contract, payroll, benefits, and local compliance. You direct the work and manage the person day to day.
Is Exordiom an Employer of Record?
Yes. Exordiom holds the legal employment, payroll, benefits, and compliance for every person it places. It also recruits, vets, and supports the hire, which a pure EOR like Deel or Remote does not do.
Do I need an entity in India or the Philippines?
No. Exordiom employs the person through its own infrastructure in each country. You hire compliantly with no local entity, no local filings, and no local payroll.
Who handles payroll, taxes, and benefits?
Exordiom does, in each hire's local jurisdiction. Salary, statutory contributions, benefits, leave, and tax filings all sit with us. You pay one flat monthly fee.
Does offshore hiring create permanent establishment risk for me?
Hiring through an EOR is designed to avoid it, because the local employer is Exordiom, not you. Confirm your own facts with tax counsel, but the structure exists for this reason.
Security and compliance
Does Exordiom have SOC 2 or ISO 27001?
Those audits cover systems that store and process customer data, and Exordiom's model keeps your data in your own environment, so there is no Exordiom system to certify. Our controls cover the person and the device: vetting, signed confidentiality and IP assignment, client-controlled access, and client-secured devices. We complete security questionnaires within five business days and provide a Security Overview on request.
Who secures the laptop?
Exordiom procures it to your spec, or you ship your own pre-imaged device and we manage the logistics end to end. You apply your security stack, including MDM, encryption, endpoint agents, and hardware keys, and our IT team enrolls the device into your tooling before day one. We have deployed client MDM and YubiKeys for clients on request.
Who controls access to my systems?
You do. Placed professionals work on accounts you issue, with permissions you set, and you can revoke access at any time. Exordiom never needs your production data.
Do offshore hires sign an NDA?
Yes. Every placed professional signs a confidentiality agreement before starting, and the same obligation runs through Exordiom's master agreement with you. The obligation survives the end of the engagement.
Who owns the IP an offshore engineer creates?
You do. IP is assigned to you in the master agreement and again in the worker's local employment agreement, so it holds in the country where the person sits.
Can offshore staff handle regulated data?
Yes, when access and controls are scoped in writing. For regulated engagements we agree which regions may touch which data categories, the screening standard, and device and access requirements before anyone starts. Scope the specifics with your compliance team.
Is Exordiom insured?
Yes. Exordiom carries general liability, cyber liability, and professional liability coverage. A certificate of insurance is available on request.
Vetting and quality
How does Exordiom vet candidates?
Every candidate goes through identity verification, a proprietary AI interviewing platform that screens the full applicant pool against the role, human interview rounds scoring character, acumen, grit, and experience, background screening, and reference checks. You run the final interview.
Do you recruit from people already in jobs?
Yes. Exordiom recruits professionals currently employed at strong companies for a named client role. We do not keep a bench, so you are choosing from people who were never on the market.
How do you confirm the person I hired is the person doing the work?
Identity is verified against government ID on live video during vetting. The person then works on your accounts, on a device secured by your tooling, inside your audit trail, which makes proxy work far harder than in a marketplace hire.
What if the hire does not work out?
Exordiom replaces them under a 10-day replacement commitment. Hypercare check-ins in the first two weeks are designed to catch fit problems before they cost you time.
Working model
Do offshore hires work US hours?
Yes. Every Exordiom hire works your time zone, full-time at 40 hours a week, under your management.
Who manages the person day to day?
You do. The hire sits in your Slack, your standups, and your tools, and reports to your manager. Exordiom handles everything around the person: payroll, HR, compliance, and continuity.
What is Hypercare?
A structured post-hire program: kick-off on day one, two check-ins in week one, two in week two, then every four weeks from week six. It is run by former operators and customer success leads from high-growth software companies. Read more about Hypercare.

Philippines or India, which is better for my role?
Philippines for customer-facing and operational roles, where English fluency and a service culture matter most. India for engineering, data, and AI, where the senior technical pool is deepest. Every hire in either country works your US hours, and Exordiom steers each role to the stronger market.
Commercial
How does Exordiom charge?
Roles start at $3,000 per person per month. That one fee includes the professional's salary and every related Exordiom charge for that person: recruiting, employment, payroll, benefits, and compliance. No minimum term. You pay only while the person is active.
Am I locked into a contract?
No. There is no minimum term and no lock-in. Scale up or down on demand.
Can I hire my offshore staff directly later?
Yes. A conversion path exists through a one-time placement consideration set out in the Terms, with Exordiom's written approval. The terms are known before you sign, not a surprise later.
How fast can Exordiom place someone?
As little as 10 days from job spec to a working hire. We source, vet, and endorse a shortlist, you run a final interview, and the selected candidate starts within 48 hours to a week.
Can I start with one hire?
Yes. There is no minimum, so you can start with a single seat, judge the output, and scale only if it works.
